MICHELLE D. TAVENER, MSN, APN

Michelle Tavener, MSN, APRN, NP-C, CNN-NP is originally from Montana and moved to Reno in 1988. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2000. Michelle worked for several years as a critical care nurse in the cardiac intensive care unit at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Graceland University in 2007 and joined Sierra Nevada Nephrology as a Nurse Practitioner.

Michelle is certified as an Advanced Practitioner of Nursing through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband Ken and their four wonderful children in the Nevada outdoors (hunting, fishing, mountain biking, hiking, and more). Michelle is a strong believer in exercise and regularly participates in kickboxing, weight lifting, and running.
